Fairhills Road area

Salford City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The title and effects of the order is as follows:

City of Salford (Fairhills Road and Calamanco Way) (Prohibition of Waiting, Parking Places and Amendment) Order 2021

The Order will introduce the following restrictions.

Proposed No Waiting At Any Time on:

Fairhills Road

  • South side, from the junction with B5320 Liverpool Road, in an easterly direction to the junction with A57 Cadishead Way.
  • North side, from the junction with B5320 Liverpool Road to a point 40.3 metres east of the easterly projected kerbline of Woodrow Way.
  • North side, from a point 58.1 metres east of the easterly projected kerbline of Woodrow Way, for a distance of 9.8 metres in a south easterly direction.
  • North side, from a point 93 metres west of the easterly projected kerbline of Soapstone Way, for a distance of 7 metres in an easterly direction.
  • North side, from a point 6.5 metres west of the westerly projected kerbline of the Access Road to Fire Station, in an easterly direction to the junction with A57 Cadishead Way.

Lorna Way 

  • Both sides, from the junction with Fairhills Road, for a distance of ten metres in a north-easterly direction.

Sandywarps 

  • Both sides, from the junction with Fairhills Road, for a distance of ten metres in a northerly direction.
  • East side, from a point ten metres south of the junction with the southerly projected kerbline of Calamanco Way, in a northerly direction, to a point ten metres north of the northerly projected kerbline of Calamanco Way.

Calamanco Way 

  • Both sides, from the junction with the easterly projected kerbline of Sandywarps, for a distance of ten metres in an easterly direction.  

Limited waiting two hours, no return within two hours Monday - Friday 8am to 6pm exemption for resident’s parking permit holders on:

Fairhills Road

  • North side from a point 6.5 metres west of the westerly projected kerbline of the Access Road to Fire Station, for a distance of 111 metres in a westerly direction.
  • North side from a point 40.3 metres east of the easterly projected kerbline of Woodrow Way, for a distance of 17.8 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Eligibility for Parking Permits 

Residents at all the streets and properties listed in the Schedule to this notice who meet qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit.

A copy of the proposed orders, plans of the area and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the orders may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (due to COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending). Unless specified otherwise all the following properties on Fairhills Road are eligible to apply for parking permits: No.1 to 39 (odd numbers).
