Salford City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
City of Salford (Lamb Lane, Bevill Square and St Stephen Street, Blackfriars and Trinity) (Prohibition of Waiting, Restriction of Waiting, Limited Waiting Parking Places and Amendment) Order 2025
The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce the following provisions:
No Waiting At Any Time on:
Cleminson Street
- South side from St Stephen Street in a westerly direction for 43.8m.
- North side from St Stephen Street in a westerly direction for 10m.
St Stephen Street
- West side from 10m south of Cleminson Street to 10m north of Cleminson Street.
- East side from 15m south of Lamb Lane to 20m south of Nathan Drive.
- West side from 10m south of Brotherton Drive to 10m north of Brotherton Drive.
- Southwest and west side from Mount Street in a south easterly then southerly direction for 90m.
- Northeast side from Mount Street in a south easterly direction for 76m.
Brotherton Drive
- Both sides from St Stephen Street in a westerly direction for 10m.
Lamb Lane
- South west and west side from St Stephen Street in a south easterly then southerly direction to Trinity Way.
- North east side from St. Stephen Street in a south easterly direction for 22.5m.
- North east and east side from 6m northwest of Frederick Street in a south easterly then southerly direction to Trinity Way.
Service Road Fronting Salisbury House
- West and south side from Lamb Lane in a northerly then westerly direction to St Stephen Street.
- East side from Lamb Lane in a northerly direction for 18.2m including the access road to Bevill Square.
- North and east side from St Stephen Street in an easterly then southerly direction for 26.5m.
No Waiting – Monday to Saturday between 8am to 6pm on:
Cleminson Street
- North side from Melville Street in an easterly direction to 10m west of St Stephen Street.
- South side from Ford Street for 43.8m in an easterly direction to St Stephen Street.
St Stephen Street
- West side from 10m south of Cleminson Street in a southerly direction to Browning Street.
- West side from 10m north of Cleminson Street, to 10m south of Brotherton Drive.
- West side from 10m north of Brotherton Drive to 90m south east and south of Mount Street.
- East side from 15m south of Lamb Lane in a southerly direction to 35m north of Chapel Street.
- East side from 10m north of Nathan Drive to 76m south east of Mount Street.
No Waiting – Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm on:
Brotherton Drive
- North side from 10m west of St Stephen Street in a westerly direction for 135m.
- South side from 10m west of St Stephen Street westerly to Rosamund Drive.
Limited Waiting Parking Place – Monday to Saturday between 8am to 6pm, maximum stay one hour, no return within two hours on:
Lamb Lane
- North east side from 22.5m south east of St Stephen Street in a south easterly direction for 30m with a width of 2m.
Service Road Fronting Salisbury House
- East side from 18.2m north of Lamb Lane in a northerly direction for 42m with a width of 2m.
Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals.
A copy of the Order, a plan and the statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the above Order will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
