Liverpool Road Lay-by

Salford City Council proposes to make the Salford City Council (A57 Liverpool Road Lay-By, Higher Irlam and Peel Green) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce:

No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of the lay-by adjoining the north-east-bound carriageway of A57 Liverpool Road (at its junction with Barton Moss Road): 

  • north west side, from Barton Moss Road for 108m north easterly
  • south east side, from 3m north east from Barton Moss Road for 74m north easterly
  • north side, from 23m west from the southern lay-by end to 25m east from the southern lay-by end; and 
  • south side, from the southern lay-by end for 23m westerly.

A copy of the proposed Order together with plans showing the proposals and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Details can be viewed online on this page.
