Manchester Salford Inner Relief Road – Various Traffic Regularion/Movement/Speed Limit Orders

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The proposed order will seek to introduce 30mph Speed Limit on:

A57 Regent Road, from a point 7m NW from the projected NW kerbline of Gloucester Street to its junction with the M602 Motorway.

The proposed order will seek to introduce waiting restrictions of no waiting at any time on:

• Oldfield Road: West Side: from 50m S of the southern kerbline of Regent Road, to the northern kerbline of Saint Bartholomews Drive. East Side from 50m S of the southern kerbline of Regent Road, for 115m in  S direction.
• Ordsall Lane: NW Side: from 289m SW of the southern kerbline of Regent Road, for 38m SW direction.
• Ordsall Lane NW Side from 402m SW of the southern kerbline of Regent Road, for 46m SW direction.
• Ordsall Lane SE Side from southern kerbline of Derwent Street, for 15m  SW direction.
• SE Side from 40m SW of the southern kerbline of Derwent Street, for 165m  SW direction.
• Ordsall Lane SE Side from 85m NE of the extended eastern kerbline of Oldfield Road, for 86m in a NE direction.

Limited waiting parking places, 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. Maximum Stay 3 hours. No return 1 hour.

• Ordsall Lane NW Side from 101m NE of the extended eastern kerbline of Oldfield Road, for 75m in a NE direction.
• Ordsall Lane SE Side from 15m S of the southern kerbline of Derwent Street, for 25m in a SW direction.
• Ordsall Lane SE Side from 21m SW of the southern kerbline of Woden Street, for 40m in a SW direction.
• Ordsall Lane SE Side from 15m SW of the southern kerbline of Dyer Street, for 45m in a SW direction.

The proposed Order will seek to introduce prohibition of U turn/left turn on:

• Compulsory left turn Regent Road, (westbound traffic) at the junction with Oldfield Road (southbound traffic).

No U-Turn

• On A57 Regent Road, westbound carriageway at the junction of Oldfield Road into A57 Regent Road eastbound carriageway.
• On A57 Regent Road, eastbound carriageway at the junction of Oldfield Road into A57 Regent Road westbound carriageway.
• On A57 Regent Road, westbound carriageway at the junction of Ordsall Lane into A57 Regent Road eastbound carriageway.
• On A57 Regent Road, eastbound carriageway at the junction of Ordsall Lane into A57 Regent Road westbound carriageway.
• On Ordsall Lane northeast bound carriageway at the junction of A57 Regent Road into Ordsall Lane southwest bound carriageway.
• Ordsall Lane southwest bound carriageway at the junction of A57 Regent Road into Ordsall Lane northeast bound carriageway.
• Hampson Street westbound carriageway at the junction of Ordsall Lane into the eastbound carriageway.
• Middlewood Street eastbound carriageway at the junction of Ordsall Lane into the westbound carriageway.

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
