Salford City Council proposed to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
City of Salford (Dickenson Street, Sherborne Street West and Cottenham Lane) Prohibition of Waiting Order 2025)
City of Salford (Milton Street and Surrounding Areas) (Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment) Order 2025
The effect of the proposed Orders will be to introduce the following provisions:
No Waiting at Any Time
Dickenson Street
- Both sides from its junction with Sherborne Street West for a distance of 21.9m in a north westerly direction.
Sherborne Street West:
- Both Sides from its junction with Cottenham Lane to a point 23.7 metres northeast of the northeastern extended kerbline of Dickinson Street.
Cottenham Lane:
- Both sides from a point 34.9 metres southeast from the north western extended kerbline of Sherborne Street West for a distance of 69.6 metres in a north-westerly direction.
Milton Street
- Both sides from its junction with Broughton Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
- West side from a point 10 metres north of the northern extended kerbline of Kent Street to a point 10 metres south of the southern extended kerbline of Kent Street.
- East side from its junction with Girton Street for a distance of 60 metres in a northerly direction.
- South west side from its junction with Girton Street for a distance of 17.5 metres in a north westerly then northerly direction.
Kent Street
- Both sides from its junction with Milton Street for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
Girton Street
- North side from the western extended kerbline of Cambridge Street for a distance of 22.3 metres in a westerly direction.
- South Side from a point 22.3 metres west of the western extended kerbline of Cambridge Street to a point 20.3 metres east of the eastern extended kerbline of Cambridge Street.
- Both sides from its junction with Milton Street for a distance of 18.9 metres in an easterly direction.
Cambridge Street
- Both sides from its junction with Girton Street for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction.
- Southeast side from its junction with Girton Street for a distance of 15.7 metres in a north easterly direction.
- Northwest side from its junction with Girton Street for a distance of 18 metres in a north easterly direction.
Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals.
A copy of the Order, a plan and the statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the above Order will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
