Traffic regulation order: New Cross Street and Lions Drive

Salford City Council proposes to make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

City of Salford (New Cross Street and Lions Drive, Swinton Park) (Prohibition of Waiting and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2026

The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following:

No waiting at any time:

New Cross Street

  • north west and north side, from 35.6m north east from the north easterly kerbline of Chorley Road to 10m east from the easterly kerbline of Lions Drive.

Lions Drive

  • north west side, from the north easterly kerbline of New Cross Street for 27m north easterly
  • south east side, from the north easterly kerbline of New Cross Street for 10m north easterly
  • north east side, from 5m north west from the north westerly kerbline of Sulway Close to 5m south east of the south easterly kerbline of Sulway Close.

No waiting 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday:

New Cross Street

  • north west side, from 16.1m north east of the north easterly kerbline of Chorley Road for 19.5m north easterly. 

Lions Drive

  • east and north east side, from 10m north east of the north easterly kerbline of New Cross Street for 49m north easterly then north westerly.
