Traffic regulation order: New Lane area

Salford City Council proposes to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the titles and effects of which are as follows:

City of Salford (Allison Grove, Lily Street and Hardy Street, Barton and Winton) (Prohibition of Waiting and Amendment) Order 2026

No waiting at any time:

Allison Grove

  • west side, from the northern extended kerbline of Lily Street for 18m in a northerly direction
  • east side, from the northern extended kerbline of Lily Street for 10m in a northerly direction. 

Lily Street

  • north side, from the eastern extended kerbline of Allison Grove for 10m in an easterly direction
  • south side, from the eastern extended kerbline of Hardy Street for 5m in an easterly direction.

Hardy Street

  • east side, from the southern extended kerbline of Lily Street for 5m in a southerly direction.

City of Salford (New Lane Area, Barton and Winton) (20 Mph Speed Limit Zone) Order 2026

20 mph speed limit zone:

New Lane

  • from its junction with Worsley Road to a point 37m north from the northern extended kerbline of Liverpool Road.

  • for its entire length.

Brushford Close

  • for its entire length.

Bridgewater Street

  • for its entire length.

Nameplate Close

  • for its entire length.

Langholme Place

  • for its entire length.

South King Street

  • for its entire length.

Egerton Street

  • for its entire length.

An existing Order shall be revoked as part of these proposals. A copy of the proposed Order, the Order it is proposed to revoke, the Statement of Reasons, and a plan showing the proposals can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or examined in person at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
