Poplar Road, Park Road and Pine Grove

Salford City Council proposes to make the following orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The titles and effect of the proposed orders will be as follows.

Proposed no waiting at any time on:

Park Road, Eccles:

• Both sides, from a point 15m north of north west extended kerbline of Grange Drive / Pine Grove to a point 15m south of south east extended kerbline of Grange Drive / Pine Grove in a south east direction.

Grange Drive, Eccles:

• Both sides, from south west extended kerbline of Park Road 15m in a south west direction.

Pine Grove, Eccles:

• Both sides, from north east extended kerbline of Park Road 15m in a north east direction.
• Both sides, from a point 10m south of south west extended kerbline of Poplar Road to a point 10m north of north east extended kerbline of Poplar Road in north east direction.

Poplar Road, Eccles:

• Both sides, from south of south east extended kerbline of Pine Grove  28m in a south east direction.

Poplar Road and Park Road, Eccles:

• West side, from a point 70m south of south east extended kerbline of Pine Grove 55m in a south east then west direction.

Quaker Lane, Eccles:

• North east side, from its northern extended kerbline of Park Road 25m in an easterly then south east direction.

Footway conversion to a shared use, unsegregated footway/cycle track

The following section of footway are to be converted to cycle tracks under Section 65(1) of the Highway Act 1980:

Poplar Road and Park Road, Eccles:

• West side, from a point 45 metres south eastern extended kerbline of Pine Grove for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction with a minimum width 2.5 metres.

Pine Grove:

• North side from a point 45 metres south western extended kerbline of Burlington Road for a distance of 16 metres in a south westerly direction with a minimum width 2.5 metres.

20mph speed limit zone

Proposed 20mph speed limit for all vehicles on the following lengths of road for their entire length unless stated otherwise:

Pine Grove, Burlington Road, Poplar Road, Park Road, Hawthorn Avenue, Grange Drive, Park Drive, Grange Avenue, Quaker Lane.

No stopping between the hours of 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday

Monton Green Primary School on Pine Grove, Eccles

• Both sides, from a point 25m south of south western extended kerbline of Burlington Road for a distance of 37.56m in a south westerly direction.

Existing orders are to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals.

Any reference in this order to any road, street and or other location shall be construed to the name herein and any subsequent name thereafter.

Copies of the proposed orders together with the plans and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the orders may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays (due to the COVID-19 restrictions please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending).

• Grange Drive, Eccles, both sides, from south western extended kerbline of Park Road for a distance of 15 metres in a south westerly direction.
• Pine Grove, Eccles, both sides, from north eastern extended kerbline of Park Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north easterly direction.
• Pine Grove, Eccles, both sides, from a point 10 metres south of south western extended kerbline of Poplar Road to a point 10 metres north of north eastern extended kerbline of Poplar Road in a north easterly direction.
• Poplar Road, Eccles, both sides, from south of south eastern extended kerbline of Pine Grove for a distance of 28 metres in a south easterly direction.
• Poplar Road and Park Road, Eccles, west side, from a point 70 metres south of south eastern extended kerbline of Pine Grove for a distance of 55 metres in a south easterly then westerly direction.
• Quaker Lane, Eccles, north east side, from its northern extended kerbline of Park Road for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly then south easterly direction.
