Queen Street, Ellesmere Close and Bridgewater Street

Salford City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The title and effects of the Order is as follows:

City of Salford (Queen Street, Ellesmere Close and Bridgewater Street, Walkden, Salford) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2025 

The Order will introduce the following restrictions. 

No Waiting At Any Time on: 

Queen Street

  • North west side from the northern eastern extended kerb line of Manchester Road East, in a north easterly direction for 10 metres.
  • North west side from a point 27.5m northeast of the north eastern extended kerb line of Manchester Road East in a north easterly direction for 9 metres.
  • South east side from the north eastern extended kerb line of Manchester Road East, in a north easterly direction for 41 metres. 

Ellesmere Close

  • Both sides, from the south eastern extended kerb line of Queen Street, in a south easterly direction for 10 metres.
  • North east side, from the north western extended kerb line of Ellesmere Street, in a north westerly direction for 10 metres. 

Ellesmere Street

  • North west side, from the north eastern extended kerb line of Ellesmere Close, in a north easterly direction for 10 metres. 

Bridgewater Street 

  • South east side from a point 26 metres northeast of the north eastern extended kerb line of Manchester Road East, in a north easterly direction for 13 metres. 

No Waiting during the hours of 8.15am to 9am and 2.30pm to 4pm Monday to Friday on: 

Ellesmere Close

  • North east side from a point 10m south east of the south eastern extended kerb line of Queen Street, in a south easterly direction for 81 metres. 

Queen Street

  • South east side, from a point 41 metres northeast of the north eastern extended kerb line of Manchester Road East, in a north easterly direction for 10 metres. 

Copies of the proposed Orders, plans of the area and statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the above Orders may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
