Regent Road and Alan Henning Way area

Salford City Council proposes to make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce: 

City of Salford (Various Roads, Salford) (Speed Limits and Amendment) Order 2025 

40mph speed limit:

Stadium Way (A57): 

  • from a point 55 metres north from the extended northern kerbline of Liverpool Road / Alan Henning Way to its junction with Liverpool Road / Alan Henning Way.

Liverpool Road (A57): 

  • from the eastern projected kerbline of Stadium Way to a point 250.5 metres southwest of the eastern projected kerbline of Stadium Way.

Alan Henning Way: 

  • from the eastern projected kerbline of Stadium Way to the Salford City Council / Trafford Borough Council boundary at Manchester Ship Canal.

30mph speed limit:

The following road will be removed from the speed limit Order and will revert to 30mph by way of Restricted Road status: Regent Road: from the Salford City Council / Manchester City Council boundary to and including the Regent Road (A57) Roundabout (at the M602 Motorway). 

Existing Orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. A copy of the proposed Order, a plan, and copies of the Orders that it is proposed to amend can be viewed online on this page. 

The proposed documents may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
