Strawberry Road

Prohibition of Waiting, Parking Places and Amendment Order 2017.

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order will be to introduce the following restrictions:

1. No waiting at any time on:

Strawberry Road

• North side, from Frederick Road in a westerly direction, to a point 69.6 metres south west of the westerly projected kerbline of Strawberry Bank.
• South side, from Frederick Road to a point 5 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Gerrard Street.
• North west side, from Broad Street, to a point 1 metres north east of the northerly kerbline of Broad Street service road.
• South east side, from Broad Street, to a point 51 metres north east of the northerly kerbline of Broad Street service road.
• North west side, from a point 83.6 metres south west of the westerly projected kerbline of Strawberry Bank, for 11 metres in a south westerly direction.

Gore Street

• South west side, from a point 32 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Upper Gloucester Street, for 15.8 metres in a south easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end.
• North east side, from a point 5 metres south east of Eades Street, for 6 metres in a south easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end.

Upper Gloucester Street

• North west side, from Broad Street service road, for 10 metres in a north easterly direction.

Broad Street Service Road

• North side, from a point 30 metres north west of its junction with the northerly kerbline of Strawberry Road, for 19 metres in a north westerly direction.

2. Limited waiting parking place (Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, 1 hour, no return within 1 hour) on:

Broad Street Service Road

• North side, from 49 metres north west of Strawberry Road to a point 15m south east of Higham View.
• North side, from a point 15 metres north west of Strawberry Road, for 15 metres in a north westerly direction.

3. Permit holder parking, Monday to Friday (8am to 6pm), Saturday (8am to noon) on:

Strawberry Road

• South side, from a point 5 metres north west of Gerrard Street, to a point 51 metres north east of Broad Street service road.
• North west side, from 69.6 metres south west of Strawberry Bank, for 14 metres in a south westerly direction.
• North west side, from 94.6 metres south west of Strawberry bank, to a point 1 metre north east of Broad Street Service Road.

Strawberry Bank

• West side, from Strawberry Road for its entire length.
• East side, from Strawberry Road for its entire length.

Gerrard Street

• South east side, from Strawberry Road, to a point 10 metres north east of Nichols Street.
• North west side, from 10 metres south west of Strawberry Road, for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.
• South east side, from 10 metres south west of Nichols Street, to its cul-de-sac end.

Nichols Street

• North east side, for its entire length.
• South west side, for its entire length.

Gore Street

• North east side, from a point 5 metres south east of Upper Gloucester Street, to a point 5 metres north west of the north westerly kerbline of Eades Street.

Gloucester Place

• North east side, from a point 5 metres north west of Upper Gloucester Street, to its cul-de-sac end.
• South west side, from a point 5 metres north west of Upper Gloucester Street, to its cul-de-sac end.

Upper Gloucester Street

• North west side, from a point 10 metres north east of Broad Street service road, for 25 metres in a north easterly direction.
• North west side, from a point 61 metres north east of Broad Street service road, to a point 5 metres south west of Gloucester place.
• North west side, from a point 5 metres north east of Gloucester Place, to its cul-de-sac end.
• South east side, from a point 5 metres north east of Gore Street, to its cul-de-sac end.

Eades Street

• North west side, from northerly kerbline of Gore Street, to its cul-de-sac end.
• South east side, from its junction with northerly kerbline of Gore Street, to its cul-de-sac end.

Eligibility for parking permits

Residents and businesses at all properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit at a cost of £50 per annum. Residents at all properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit. Carer’s parking permit - residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit. • Properties numbered 2 to 12 (even numbers)

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
