Wilton Road

Salford City Council proposes to make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Salford City Council (Hope Hospital Phase 3) Residents Parking Scheme And Prohibition Of Waiting) Order 2009 (Experimental) (Amendment) Order 2021

The effect of the order will be to amend the following orders below.

Salford City Council (Hope Hospital Phase 2) Residents Parking Scheme and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2004 

The above order is amended by the deletion of the following from the said order.

Resident permit holders and limited waiting 30 minutes no return within one hour.

Wilton Road 

  • East side from a point 60 metres north of the northern kerbline of Vandyke Avenue in a northerly direction for a distance of 63 metres.

The above order is amended by the deletion of the following from the said order.

Introduction of permit holder and limited waiting two hours no return in one hour

Wilton Road

  • East side from a point 65.5 metres south of the junction with the southerly kerbline of Orient Road for a distance of 32 metres in a southerly direction. east side from a point 122.5 metres south of the junction with the southerly kerbline of Orient Road for a distance of 31 metres in a southerly direction.

Existing orders are suspended for the duration of this experimental order.

The order shall come into operation on 4 February 2021. A copy of the order, together with the plan showing the roads to which it relates and a statement of the council's reasons for making the orders may be inspected at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (due to COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending) for a period of six months until 28 July 2021. The council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the order should be continued in force indefinitely. Within a period of six months from the coming into force of the order or if the order is subsequently varied or amended from the coming into force of the variation or modification (whichever is the latter) any person may object to the indefinite continuation of the provisions of the orders.

Any person wishing to object should submit their grounds of objection in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the address below no later than 28 July 2021 quoting ref GS/OUT1093/818. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the orders or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the order may within six weeks from 22 January 2021 apply to the High Court for such purpose. quoting ref GS/OUT1093/818
