Worsley Road

Salford City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

City of Salford (Worsley Road, Worsley and Westwood Park) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2024

The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce the following provisions:

No Waiting At Any Time on: 

Worsley Road

  • North side, from a point 60 metres northwest of the westerly projected kerbline of Larch Avenue, for 20 metres in a north westerly direction. 

A copy of the Order, a plan and the statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the above Order will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the postal addresses below. 

Any person wishing to object should submit their grounds of objection in writing to Fiona Ledden,

Transport for Greater Manchester for and on behalf of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority

Pedestrian Crossing at Worsley Road (East of Fairmount Road), Salford

Notice is hereby given that the Greater Manchester Combined Authority have delegated powers to Transport for Greater Manchester to enable them to establish a pedestrian crossing facility under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers the effects of which will be:

To Introduce a Puffin Crossing, 3.0 metres wide, 8.70 metres in length, zig-zags extending to 17.4 metres in a north-westerly direction and 17.2 metres in a south-easterly direction measured from the associated stop line markings on:

Worsley Road 

  • The midpoint of the crossing will be located 12.5 metres south-east of the easterly projected kerb line of Fairmount Road. 

A copy of the plan relating thereto may be inspected during normal office hours at Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester M60 2LA.
