Brookhouse playing fields are primarily used for Sunday league football.

Proposed play area for Brookhouse Community Centre

Salford City Council is asking for your thoughts on the new, young children’s play area proposed for Brookhouse Community Centre. You can give your views by completing the questionnaire below. Please be aware that the play area is for children under 14 years old. The deadline to complete the questionnaire is 4 April 2025.

The proposed play area is located next to Brookhouse Community Centre on Buckthorn Lane. Proposals show a range of play equipment that includes:

  • A rope pendulum (group) swing
  • Junior Swings with flat, cradle/toddler and inclusive seats
  • Junior climbing frame
  • Two single, spring mobiles
  • Spring mobile suitable for up to four children
  • See-saw
  • Young children’s activity panels and net
  • An agility trail featuring a Balance beam, Rocket Roller and Balance Bridge
  • Inclusive roundabout
  • 1.8m high slide
  • Benches

The park is also home to a multi-use games area.
