Kersal Moor

Kersal Moor is eight hectares of fantastic open moorland bounded by Moor Lane, Heathlands Road, St. Paul's Churchyard and Singleton Brook.

Set above the surrounding residential and industrial areas - the moor is a mosaic of grassland and scattered trees which provide a great place to see unusual plants and animals, and enjoy spectacular open views of Salford.

The area is classed as a site of biological importance and Local Nature Reserve and the Salford Ranger team with support from the Friends of Kersal Moor manage the site and organise events and activities such as litter collections, tree thinning, bench building, teddy bears' picnics and celebration days.
