Oakwood Park proposed refurbishment of the young children's play area

Salford City Council is asking for your thoughts on the proposed refurbishment of the young children's play area. You can give your views by completing the questionnaire below.

Questionnaire for refurbishment of the young children's play equipment at Oakwood Park

The deadline to complete the questionnaire is 12 June 2026.

The new play equipment will be placed within the footprint of the current fenced play area  and offers a range of play opportunities for young children of different abilities to play together. The majority of the existing play equipment will be removed except for the wheelchair accessible roundabout. New equipment will include swings suitable for toddlers and young children including disabled children. An inclusive multi-play unit and a nature themed springy and see-saw will offer a range of play opportunities for young children. New, timber seating will be provided and the black, rubber safety surface replaced with a green, artificial grass type surface.

If you would like to organise an event or activity in this park please view our advice page.
