School reports and plans

Every council produces a number of plans. Some plans cover a wide range of the authority's activities, whereas others are produced to address more specific issues.

These plans help the council to improve the way it carries out its responsibilities. It is very important that you tell us your views so that we get our plans right.

Ofsted and other reports

Ofsted inspects nurseries, schools, colleges, teacher training providers, councils and much more. You can download Individual Ofsted Reports from their website.

The Department for Education publish school performance tables.

Financial information and statistics

Councils are required under to publish and make accessible school budget and outturn statements for inspection. This comes under Section 251 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. 

Scheme of delegation for schools

The council must publish their scheme of delegation, including the date of the scheme and the date of any revisions to that scheme. This comes under Section 48 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. 

School financial regulations

The financial regulations for schools provides a detailed description of various requirements outlined in the scheme of delegation. They are consistent with Salford City Council's general financial regulations but have been modified for school context.
