Every child is different in the way that they learn. Schools take account of this when they plan their work.
A few pupils need special or different arrangements. This can just be for a short time or for the whole of their school life. Pupils who need this extra help have special educational needs.
Salford’s strategy for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) has recently been revised. Our SEND partnership is committed to our four key ambitions to drive improvements in our priority areas as we strive to create a child-friendly city, to ensure that every child and young person aged 0-25 with SEND has the fullest opportunity to be happy, healthy and achieve their full potential.
