School governors work in partnership with the headteacher and the staff in our schools to provide the best possible education for all children in Salford. They are unpaid volunteers who want to give something back to the local community.

Salford schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclose and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will usually be required to be able to take up a school governor position.
