Kersal Dale is located next to the River Irwell and provides a perfect opportunity for relaxation.
The area is classed as a site of biological importance and local nature reserve and is home to a variety of spectacular wildlife such as woodpeckers and kingfishers which can be regularly spotted along the river.

The Friends of Kersal Dale aim to conserve and develop the plants and wildlife of the area to make it a valuable place for the people of Salford to enjoy.
The group achieves this in partnership with Salford City Council in a number of ways.
Regular meetings are held by the group and its management committee to discuss new ideas on how to achieve their aims.
