  • Our staff at Salford Register Office are committed to providing excellent customer service.

Office environment

  • We aim to ensure our customers visiting our offices feel comfortable and that the experience is a professional and dignified one.

    • A designated reception area for registration customers only
    • Private interview rooms for birth, death, notice of marriage appointments and nationality checking service appointments
    • Private waiting areas outside individual offices, for customers with appointments
    • A large ceremony room
    • A statutory Register Office ceremony room

Measuring our performance to our customers

  • We will monitor our success in meeting our duty to you and record our performance standards
  • This information will be published on our website every 12 months and displayed in the Register Office reception.

We value your opinion

  • We have customer satisfaction forms in our reception which you may complete and return to us.
  • Comments cards are available in individual offices for your views on the registration processes.
  • If you have a formal complaint, where you feel it cannot be resolved by speaking to a member of our team, Salford City Council has a formal complaints procedure.
