On this page you can find all the things you will need to help support and amplify the HAF Easter programme.

Building on the success and messaging of the campaigns over the last four years the following resources will help share the message. These include:

Easter Activities for Children and Young People!

Children and young people aged four to 16 who are eligible for benefits related free school meals can enjoy a whole range of free, fun activities this Easter.

Funded by the Department for Education, Salford’s Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme offers support for families by providing free access to activities and healthy meals during the school holidays.

Whether it’s arts and crafts, dance, sports, drama or more, Salford’s #HAF2026 programme has something for every child! A wide range of fantastic local organisations are delivering age appropriate sessions across the city, giving children the chance to get involved, make friends, learn new skills and enjoy a nutritious lunch.

We will do our best to provide you with the resources you require as soon as possible. Please submit your request by emailing david.bird@salford.gov.uk with your request and all info outlined below: 

  • Name of organisation
  • Contact and address/details for delivery of leaflets/posters but preferably whether you can collect from the Civic Centre reception or a Gateway in your area (located in Swinton, Eccles, Pendleton, Walkden and Broughton)
  • Leaflet quantities
  • Where will the leaflets be displayed?
  • Who will the leaflets be distributed to?
  • Any other queries
