Calling us can mean a long wait for you on the phone. Can you do what you need to do on our website? It's quicker, easier and better to contact us online.

If you’re unable to find what you’re looking for on our website, you can contact customer services between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. You could also use our ‘Live Chat’ facility between these hours if the 'Chat live with us' button is showing in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

When our live chat is not available during office hours you will see a 'Live chat unavailable' button. This happens when our advisors are busy on other chats, if this is the case please try again later.

Salford City Council's emergency service

Outside normal office hours, including weekends and public holidays, the council's emergency service can be contacted by telephoning 0161 794 8888 or use our contact form. The out of hours Minicom number is 0161 793 3303.

You should only use this form during the following times:

  • Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 8.30am
  • Weekends from 4.30pm on Friday to 8.30am on the following Monday
  • Anytime on a public or bank holiday.

Outside of those times messages will not be read.
