Information and advice at Walkden Gateway

The information and advice area on the ground floor is a market place for services who provide a wide range of information and advice to customers:

• BetterOff coffee and chat, have a face to face chat with a member of your locality team.
• Citizens Advice Bureau hold a drop in service every Tuesday (11am to 3pm) and Thursday (9am to 1pm) 
• Salford Supported Employment Service provides people with learning disabilities or autism with specialised employment advice and support to find a job and receive in-work support to sustain work. We work with a wide range of businesses and organisations and provide support to benefit both the employee and employer for as long as needed. We host regular drop-in sessions across Salford where you can come and chat to the team to find out more about the support available. Call in and see us any time between 10am and 2pm. • Skills and work is a supportive service that works with unemployed people over the age of 25 to get help to find information and advice about jobs and training.  
• The Welfare Rights and Debt Advice service offer free, confidential and independent advice and representation on welfare benefits, tax credits and complex debt issues. To refer yourself or another person, please contact them directly. 
• Work Choice support Salford residents who have health conditions or disabilities back into the work place. To find out how to join Work Choice, speak to a disability employment advisor at your local Jobcentre Plus
