On 24 July 2019, the council made a Public Spaces Protection Order 2019, under sections 59 and 64 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, to prohibit the occurrence and recurrence of the specified criminal and anti-social activities in the restricted area while the order is in force.
This order relates to that part of Salford Quays as shown edged red ('the restricted area') on the plan/map which is attached to the order.
Failure to comply with the order may result in the issuing of a fixed penalty notice of up to £100 or criminal prosecution, and on conviction a fine of up to £1,000.
Salford City Council is proposing to extend the current Public Spaces Protection Order in Salford Quays for a further three years under the Anti-social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 when the current order expires in July 2022.
