This high profile event took place on 11 January 2018 at The Landing (now HOST, Home of Skills and Technology), MediaCityUK and opened with Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester outlining his digital vision for the region.
Attendees came from across the public and private sector and included Lloyds Banking Group, Google, TalkTalk, and Barclays who all pledged their support. The lively community panel discussion really stood out to the audience who could see how digital had changed people’s lives in a meaningful way. The feedback was fantastic and the short video below gives a flavour of the day.

Guests were invited to take part in demonstrations on MyCity Salford and MyCity Health and both Good Things Foundation and our Salford Digital Eagles were also on hand to showcase the important work they're doing in the city.
Spurred on by a live Tweet wall in the room, guests got #DigitalSalford trending third in the UK on Twitter, which was a fitting conclusion to an energetic and insightful event.
Andy Burnham was so impressed that he shared a Twitter moment dedicated to #DigitalSalford.
