Public sector employers sign continuous service commitment
Good news! If you work for a Greater Manchester public service organisation, it may now be possible to join Salford City Council and keep your continuous service benefits.
Many of Greater Manchester’s public sector employers, including NHS organisations, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service, Transport for Greater Manchester and local councils, have signed up to the Continuous Service Commitment.
It means employees can make the most of those benefits that are linked to their length of continuous service, such as annual leave entitlement, sick pay and maternity schemes.
This is effective from 1 April 2018.
