Christmas opening hours

The Dog Warden Service will be closed from 1pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025 and will reopen on Friday 2 January 2026 at 8.30am.

 

Any found dogs should be taken directly to Manchester Dogs Home.

Each local authority has a duty to deal with stray dogs and dog fouling.

Salford City Council has a dog warden service that is specially trained and qualified in many aspects of dog control, dog health and animal husbandry and may be approached at any time for some friendly advice on dog-related matters.
