Sign in or register for an accountPlaces for Everyone is a plan of nine Greater Manchester districts (Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan) for jobs, new homes, and sustainable growth that covers the period from 2022 up to 2039. The plan was adopted on 21 March 2024 and forms part of Salford’s statutory development plan.
The key stages in the production of Places for Everyone prior to its adoption are available to view.
All of the documents listed below can be viewed / downloaded from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) website. In addition, the GMCA website also contains a list of where the Places for Everyone plan is available for inspection.

Policies map
Please note that the Places for Everyone policies map updates the Green Belt boundary for Salford, with land being removed from the Green Belt in three locations for built development and the addition of three new areas of land to the Green Belt. The Places for Everyone Green Belt boundary supersedes that identified on the policies map for the Salford Local Plan: Development Management Policies and Designations. The Places for Everyone policies map as it relates to Salford can be downloaded below.
