Greater Manchester joint waste development plan document monitoring

The Greater Manchester Joint Waste Development Plan document (the waste plan) became part of Salford's development plan upon its formal adoption on 1 April 2012. It is also part of the development plan for other nine Greater Manchester districts as follows: 

  • Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Bury Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Manchester City Council
  • Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council

A monitoring report has been prepared by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority covering the period 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2025 which assesses the performance of the policies in the waste plan. This can be downloaded below.
