We are inviting parents, carers, young people with SEND, professionals, and partner organisations to share their views on Salford’s proposed changes to our Post-16 School Transport Policy. This draft policy sets out changes to our transport offer for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) ages 16 to 25.
Your feedback is essential to make sure we can take a range of opinions on board and understand our residents' views.
We know that any proposed changes to home to school transport support can be worrying. If your child/children currently use local authority arranged transport arrangements, we have written to you directly as you may be impacted by these proposals when your child moves into Year 12.
Anyone concerned about their arrangements should get in touch, we are offering face-to-face as well as online drop-in sessions (see below).
Please note, any proposed changes will not affect those who are already in Post-16 education, Year 12 and above.

We are holding both in person and online sessions where you can find out more and ask questions.
