This means that we can make you aware of any government changes that may affect your business rates bill including new reliefs and/or discounts that may affect the amount you pay. Also we know that occasionally payments get missed. If this happens, we want to be able to proactively contact to prevent any form of recovery action being taken against your business. We have a dedicated Digital Assistant that can help you navigate and find the information you need on our website. This can be accessed on any business rates webpage at any time by clicking on the webchat symbol at the bottom of the web page
If you cannot find the information you require you can chat with one of our dedicated business rates advisors to discuss your individual circumstances between 8.30am and 4.30pm. This can be accessed at the end of the Digital Assistant’s pre-set questions via webchat on any of our business rates web pages
If you would prefer to speak directly to a Business Rates officer, please call 0161 793 2500 and select option 1 followed by option 3 between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
You can drop into your local Gateway Centre at a time that suits you on any weekday between 8.30am and 4.30pm to talk to a friendly council advisor.
No appointment necessary but please note this is for general business rates enquiries only.
