Under the terms of your lease with Salford City Council you are required by law to comply with all statutory compliance requirements including but not exclusively limited to:
Periodic testing and appropriate management arrangements help ensure that the premises you occupy are safe and compliant. As a council, we wish to remind tenants of this responsibility and to also check that the relevant requirements of statutes and other obligations imposed by laws or byelaws are being met.
To support this process, we are asking our tenants to complete our compliance check list form online. This will help us to make sure that the relevant statutory compliance checks have been carried out by an appropriately qualified person.
Statutory compliance check survey
Some of the compliance requirements within the survey may not apply to your premises or organisation as this will depend on the individual use or type of business.
There may be some additional compliance items to undertake in addition to the checks listed in the survey. For example, extra items could include regulatory inspections (such as Ofsted), qualifications, professional registrations or accreditations.
The items listed in the online survey are not an exhaustive list of your legal obligations for Statutory Compliance under the lease or the law. We recommend that you should seek independent advice if required. The questions listed within the survey are simply there to represent the matters for which the council is seeking confirmation that compliance has taken place.
Copy certificates and information to support your submission can be uploaded when completing the survey. For example, by taking a photo on your phone.
If you have any queries about the survey, please contact the Property Management Team on 0161 779 6076 or email prop.man@salford.gov.uk
