Weigh Ahead can help you to eat healthier, be more active, and start to lose weight. 90% of people successfully lose weight on Weigh Ahead, and the average weight loss is five pounds!

You can join our free Weigh Ahead course from venues across Salford or the comfort of your own home, and courses are available at a time that suits you. Over six weeks, Weigh Ahead will support you to make healthier choices to keep the weight off for good.

Maintaining a healthy weight can help you to avoid conditions like heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer, as well as giving you more energy to enjoy life. We’ve been helping the people of Salford to lose weight for almost two decades!

We recommend attending the full six weeks to get the most benefit from the course. We cover topics like:

  • How do I stay motivated while trying to lose weight?
  • What is a ‘calorie deficit’, and does calorie counting work?
  • How can I start to do more exercise as a beginner?
  • What are ‘fad diets’, and why don’t they work?
  • How can I keep the weight off for good this time?

On completion of the programme, you’ll receive a Weigh Ahead programme booklet, a food label guide to make healthier choices while shopping, plus a recipe book.
