Due to the current rising COVID-19 infection rates in Salford, our Health Improvement team have been asked to lead on and deliver an intensive community outreach campaign seven days a week. This will involve advising people to follow the guidelines related to hand hygiene, face coverings and social distancing as well as the importance of the current local restrictions in the fight to save lives, protect the NHS and avoid another lockdown locally.
Unfortunately, this means we have had to pause the vast majority of our timetabled group activities again until further notice. This applies to all outdoor activities and most of our online activities, which we will be advertising the availability of on our Health Improvement Facebook page. We are still able to offer virtual support for individuals and families looking to get more active, eat healthier or lose weight and stop smoking. We are also still offering health checks for key workers, which are vital in our city’s fight against COVID-19. All this support can be accessed by ringing 0800 952 1000 (option 2), emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or sending us an inbox message on Facebook.
We will hopefully be back delivering group activities soon, in the meantime you will see us out and about in your community.
Thank you and stay safe,
