Salford Armed Forces Flag raising ceremony

Salford’s Armed Forces Flag Raising ceremony was led by the Lord Lieutenants office and Salford’s Ceremonial Mayor’s office. The event took take place on the front steps of Swinton Town Hall.
Armed Forces Parade and Winton Festival Family Fun Day
Saturday 24 June 2023 from 10.30am to 11am for the parade, followed by a festival in the park until 4pm
To mark Armed Forces Day, Salford City Council is hosting a community Armed Forces Day parade and family fun day. The Armed Forces Parade leaves Duke's Drive Car Park, Monton at 10.30am travelling along Parrin Lane and finishing in Winton Park (via Worsley Road and Dover Street). Following the parade, you can enjoy lots of family fun in the park including a host of exciting activities and entertainment.
Important road closure information: Please be aware that road closures will take place on Parrin Lane and left at Worsley Road between 10.30am and 11am on Saturday 24 June 2023. Roads off each of the main roads will also be closed, to allow safe passage for the Armed Forces Day parade.
No booking is required for these events, simply turn up on the day.
