Salford Local Plan: Development Management Policies and Designations monitoring

The Salford Local Plan: Development Management Policies and Designations (SLP:DMP) was adopted on 18 January 2023 and forms part of Salford’s statutory development plan.

Chapter 27 of the SLP:DMP explains that: 

• The strategic objectives in this plan provide the basis for its monitoring framework. The plan includes more detailed indicators and targets at the end of each chapter, which will be used to monitor the achievement of policies within it. These will be reported on annually.
• In reviewing this plan, and also in determining whether reviews more frequent than every five years are required, the city council will take into account the results of the monitoring of the plan as described above.

The second SLP:DMP monitoring report has been prepared and covers the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. It can be downloaded below. For all but the monitoring of chapter 12, it follows the structure of the SLP:DMP monitoring framework and is in the order in which it appears in the plan. Monitoring of chapter 12 is provided in an addendum report and annexes.
