Exchange of land for Port Salford rail link

Notice of intention to dispose of open space land 

Local Government Act 1972 Section 123(1), (2A)
Town And Country Planning Act 1990 Sections 227, 233

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 that Salford City Council intends to dispose of open space land consisting of 3.22 hectares (shown edged red on the plan). The open space land is required for the construction of the rail link to Port Salford. 

The open space land is being exchanged for a larger plot of land to the north consisting of 6.4 hectares (shown edged blue on the plan).

A copy of the plan showing the approximate position of the above affected areas of land may be inspected at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5AW between 9am to 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive (due to the COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending). It can also be downloaded below.

Objections to the intended appropriation must be made by email to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk to be received no later than 4 March 2021. Please quote reference L/AF/OUT1085/3536.
