Pay and display charges and payment options

In 2022, Salford City Council upgraded all pay-and-display car parks with new machines that accept all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and coins. Additionally, cashless payments are available through the RingGo app, or you can purchase monthly, quarterly, and annual season tickets via MiPermit.

Parking charges and tariffs are displayed on information boards and machines at each car park. A pay-and-display ticket must be obtained and displayed on your vehicle's windscreen, or you must receive payment confirmation through the cashless service provider, even if you are parking for less than the free 30-minute period available at some sites.

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) may be issued to vehicles that do not adhere to the car park's conditions of use.

Blue Badges

Blue Badge holders may park free of charge, with the clear display of a valid disabled badge within the windscreen of the vehicle.

Motorcycle parking guidance

Motorcyclists may use standard pay and display bays, however, you must register your vehicle and make payment using the digital services promoted on the side of the ticket machines—either online or by telephone.

It is not necessary to display a printed ticket on your motorcycle, and doing so is discouraged due to the risk of theft. If you choose to display a ticket, you may write your vehicle registration number on it to help deter misuse.

Motorcycles are subject to the same parking regulations as all other vehicles. If found parked in contravention of any restrictions, a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) may be issued.
