Salford City Council is responsible for the maintenance of and enforcement of regulations in pay and display car parks in the city.
Digital contract parking permits are available on most of Salford City Council's pay and display car parks. Information regarding charges can be seen on our contract parking page.
In 2022 Salford City Council invested in new machines at all its P&D car park sites, which now accept card payments as well as coins.
Charges/parking tariffs are displayed on information boards and on machines in the car parks and a ticket must be obtained from the pay and display machines upon arrival (even if you are staying for less than 30 minutes).
Blue Badge holders may park free of charge.
Penalty charge notices may be issued by civil enforcement officers to vehicles that are parked outside marked bays or which do not display a valid parking ticket.
