The quickest and easiest way to make a building control application is by using the submit-a-plan website.
Submit-a-plan also lets you track the progress of your application.
Different fees or charges will apply depending on the type of work you are undertaking. Guidance notes are provided at the bottom of this page.
New regulations mean we have had to reconsider building regulation fees. Service costs have been reviewed and project specific fees developed.
Charges are determined in two ways:
In order to keep costs down, certain basic assumptions have been made such as that your builder is familiar with construction practices and the work is not complex. Extra fees may be charged if your project requires additional support.
You can use the Salford City Council online application forms but they only allow you to submit your application.
Please note: You will need to have an electronic copy of a location plan detailing the work to be undertaken, to a scale of not less than 1:1250.
