Report a missed bin collection

The missed bin reporting forms access real-time information from our refuse collection system. They check the progress of the bin round and any issues that have been recorded by our crews during the round.

We undertake the following checks:

1. We check that the missed collection was within the past 48 hours.

2. If so, we’ll show you recent collections and ask you to select which one was missed.

3. We check our system to see if the street has been marked as complete – if it hasn't, we’ll explain the round is still in progress and ask you to come back later as the bin might still be collected that day.

4. If the street has been marked as complete, we check if any issues were logged against your property, such as ‘bin not out’, ‘bin contaminated’, ‘no access to the street’.
   
   If there is a reason we couldn’t collect your bin, we’ll explain it to you and what you need to do next.
   
   If your report is received on your collection day Tuesday to Friday and it is reported before 12pm and no issues were recorded, then will push your report straight out to the vehicle where the crew will make another attempt to collect the same day.
   

   Where operationally possible, we will return to collect your bin at the earliest practicable opportunity. In addition, please be aware that our collection team works over the weekend and includes Monday as part of our normal working week. We will therefore endeavour to return during this period to complete any outstanding collections.

Assisted bin collections

If you receive an assisted bin collection and your collection is missed please use the missed bin form. Our system will pick up that you receive an assisted collection, there is no need to send us any further information.
