Upcoming roadworks in Peel Green – early 2026

Over the coming months, a series of essential improvement works will be carried out in the Peel Green area. These works are designed to:

  • Upgrade utilities to strengthen local infrastructure
  • Introduce flood prevention measures to improve resilience against extreme weather
  • Deliver safety improvements for all road users

To complete these projects, various traffic restrictions will be in place at different stages. Full details are outlined below.

United Utilities

Date: 10 August to 30 August 2026

Location: Peel Green Road (two-way, 24/7 temporary traffic signals near the junction with Haddon Road)

Details: Installation of access ladders within the chambers, completion of drainage channels within the newly constructed manholes and remedial works. The scheme will increase network capacity and address flooding issues on Peel Green Road.

M60 Junction 11 Roundabout (Peel Green) Resurfacing: overnight works

Date: 10 August to 20 August (week nights only)

Timings: between 9pm and 6am only

Traffic restrictions:

  • All slip roads will be closed between 9pm and 6am
  • Roundabout will be operating under three-way signals between Liverpool Road and Brookhouse Avenue
  • Diversion via Salford Western Gateway to Trafford Way to Trafford Boulevard and Barton Road to Redclyffe Road to Trafford Boulevard
