Cemetery opening times

Main cemetery gates

Agecroft Cemetery, Peel Green Cemetery and Swinton Cemetery

The vehicular and pedestrian gates opening and closing times are as follows:

  • 8am to 8pm, between April and September
  • 8am to 6pm, between October and March

Bank holidays the gates are opened by 8am, and will also close at 6pm.

Weaste Cemetery (pedestrian access)

  • 8am to 8pm, between April and September
  • 8am to 4pm, between October and March

Weaste Cemetery (vehicle access)

  • Weekdays: vehicle access 8am until 4pm
  • Weekends: no vehicle access

If you encounter any problems with access outside of normal office hours, please contact the city council's emergency service on 0161 794 8888.

Agecroft Cemetery office

The cemetery office is now open, in order for us deal with your enquiry efficiently please contact the number below to arrange an appointment:

Agecroft Cemetery office opening times:

  • Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm
  • Wednesday from 9.30am to 4.30pm

Please note the office is not open at weekends or on public holidays.

Books of remembrance

The books of remembrance are now available to view in person. Opening times:

  • Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays)
