Swinton Cemetery was opened in 1886.
The 6½ acre grounds have been used for over 17,000 interments to date.
Public toilets are located to the right of the main entrance. A number of taps for use by visitors are provided throughout the grounds.
Vehicular access is located on Cemetery Road South and there is a pedestrian access gate located on Westminster Street.
The cemetery has no office and any enquiries regarding the cemetery can be made by contacting Bereavement Services Head Office at Agecroft Cemetery on 0161 686 7290.
