A580 East Lancashire Road - bus lanes

Salford City Council proposed to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

City Of Salford (A580 East Lancashire Road, Salford) (Bus And Cycle Lanes And Revocation) Order 2017 (Amendment) Order 2024

The Order will be amended by the inclusion of the following:

Proposed Bus and Cycle Lanes on: 

A580 Outbound

  • From a point 101m west from the projected eastern kerbline of the turning head of Daisy Bank Avenue in a westerly direction to a point 139m east of its junction with Lancaster Road (towards Leigh).

A580 Inbound

  • From a point 60m east of the diverge nose kerb of the eastbound entry slip road onto the M60, in an easterly direction to the merge nose kerb of the eastbound slip road (off) from the M61/A580 (towards Manchester city centre).
  • From a point 60m southeast of the merge nose kerb of the eastbound slip road (off) from the M61/A580, in a south easterly direction, to a point 189m northwest of its junction of Moorside Road (towards Manchester city centre).

A copy of the Order and plan will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the postal addresses below.
