Residents Parking Order 2016

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order will be to introduce the following restrictions:

1. No waiting at any time on:

Algernon Street

  • Both sides, from a point 90 metres north west of Alfred Street for a distance of 18.5 metres in a north westerly direction.

2. Residents parking places (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm and Saturday, 9am to 12noon) on:

Algernon Street

  • South west side from its junction with Crawford Street for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.
  • North east side from its junction with Crawford Street for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.

Belmont Street

  • South west side from its junction with Lansdowne Road for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.
  • North east side from its junction with Lansdowne Road for its entire length to its cul-de-sac end.

Eligibility for parking permits

Residents and businesses at all properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit at a cost of £50 per annum. Residents at all properties listed in the schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit. Carer’s parking permit - residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit. Algernon Street

  • Properties numbered 1 to 41 (odd numbers)
  • Properties numbered 2 to 58 (even numbers)
  • Brabham Court Flats 1 to 6

Belmont Street

  • Properties numbered 1 to 17 (odd numbers)
  • Properties numbered 2 to 24 (even numbers)

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5.00pm from Monday to Friday.
