Beech Street, Broom Street and Ogden Street

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order will be to introduce:

Permit holders parking from Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm on:

  • Beech Street, both sides, from its junction with Chorley Road to and including its cul de sac end.
  • Broom Street, both sides, from its junction with Chorley Road to its junction with Ogden Street.
  • Ogden Street, both sides, from its junction with Broom Street to and including its cul de sac end.
  • Ogden Street, both sides, from its junction with Beech Street to and including its cul de sac end. 

Eligibility for parking permits

Residents and businesses at all properties listed in the Schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit at a no cost. Residents at all properties listed in the Schedule to this notice who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit.

Carer’s parking permit - residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit. Please contact the council for further information.

Existing orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with proposals. 

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 6 July 2018 (quoting ref L/TG/OUT1093/617).

Properties eligible for issue of resident’s parking permit:

  • Chorley Road
    Property numbers 30 to 32, 38 (flat above), 40, 48 to 54, 58, 66 to 72, 76 (even numbers). Numbers 58 (first floor flat), 62 (flat A and flat B). 
  • Broom Street 
    Property numbers 1A, 1 to 11, 15 (odd numbers). Numbers 2A, 2B, 2C, 2 to 24 (even numbers).
  • 1A Broom Street
    Suite numbers 2, 4, 5, 6, 7. 
  • Beech Street
    Property numbers 1 to 15 (odd numbers). Numbers 2 to 24 (even numbers). 
  • Ogden Street 
    Property numbers 8 to 34 (even numbers). Numbers 9 to 33 (odd numbers).
