Burgess Farm

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.

The effect of the order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:
Hilton Lane:

  • South west side, from a point 10m north west of its junction with Burgess Way, in a south easterly direction to a point 10m south east of its junction with Burgess Way.

Burgess Way

  • Both sides, from its junction with Hilton Lane for a distance of 10m in a south westerly direction.
  • East side from a point 10m north of its junction with the northern access to Avoncliffe Road, to a point 10m south of its junction with the northern access to Avoncliffe Road.
  • West side from a point 8m north of its junction with Semington View, to a point 10m south of its junction with Semington View.
  • West side from a point 10m north of its junction with Horsley Avenue, to a point 10m south of its junction with Horsley Avenue.
  • East side, from a point 10m north of its junction with the southern access to Avoncliffe Road to a point 7m south of its junction with the southern access to Avoncliffe Road.

Semington View

  • Both sides from its junction with Burgess Way for a distance of 10m in a north westerly direction.

Dunmall Close

  • Both sides from its junction with Horsley Avenue for a distance of 10m in a northerly direction.

Horsley Avenue

  • Both sides from its junction with Burgess Way for a distance of 10m in a north westerly direction.
  • North side from a point 10m east of its junction with Dunmall Close to a point 10m west of its junction with Dunmall Close.
  • South side, from a point 10m east of its junction with Marple Gardens, to a point 10m west of its junction with Marple Gardens.
  • Both sides, from a point 59m east of its junction with Bullbridge View for a distance of 24m in an easterly direction.
  • Both sides, from its junction with Bullbridge View, for a distance of 10m in an easterly direction

Bullbridge View

  • Both sides, from its junction with Horsley Avenue for a distance of 10m in a northerly direction.

Wootton Mews

  • Both sides, from its junction with Stretton Close for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction.

Stretton Close

  • Both sides, from its junction with Horsley Avenue for a distance of 10m in a southerly direction.

Marple Gardens

  • Both sides, from its junction with Horsley Avenue, for a distance of 10m in a southerly direction.

Avoncliffe Road (north access)

  • Both sides, from its junction with Burgess Way for a distance of 10m in a S easterly direction.

Avoncliffe Road

  • East side, from a point 10m north of its junction with Bonnington Close, to a point 10m south of its junction with Bonnington Close.
  • East side, from a point 10m north of its junction with Dowley Gap Road, to a point 10m south of its junction with Dowley Gap Road.
  • West side, from a point 10m north of its junction with Dundas Road, to a point 10m south of its junction with Dundas Road.
  • South east side, from a point 10m north of its junction with Slateford Drive, to a point 10m west of its junction with Yarningdale Avenue.

Bonnington Close

  • Both sides, from its junction with Avoncliffe Road, for a distance of 10m in an easterly direction.

Dowley Gap Road

  • Both sides, from its junction with Avoncliffe Rd, for a distance of 10m in an easterly direction

Dundas Road

  • Both sides, from its junction with Avoncliffe Road, for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction.

Slateford Drive

  • Both sides, from its junction with Avoncliffe Road, for a distance of 10m in a south easterly direction.

Yarningdale Avenue

  • Both sides, from its junction with Avoncliffe Rd, for a distance of 10m in a southerly direction.

The effect of the order will also prohibit any person from driving any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 mph on the following roads for their entire length unless otherwise stated:

  • Avoncliffe Road
  • Bonnington Close
  • Bullbridge View
  • Burgess Way
  • Cosgrove Close
  • Dowley Gap Road
  • Dundas Road
  • Dunmall Close
  • Horsley Avenue
  • Marple Gardens

Existing orders have been amended to be consistent with the proposals.
A copy of the proposed order together with a plan and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
