Cavendish Road area

Salford City Council proposes to make the City of Salford (Cavendish Road area) (Prohibition And Restriction of Waiting And Amendment) Order 2017 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order will be to introduce:

No waiting at any time on:

Cavendish Road

  • North west side from its junction with the extended north eastern kerbline on Bury New Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 61.5 metres.
  • North side from a point 93 metres east of its junction with the extended north eastern kerbline on Bury New Road in an easterly direction for 11 metres.
  • South side from a point 16 metres west of the extended western kerbline of Vernon Road to a point 15 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of Vernon Road.

Vernon Road

  • West side from its junction with the extended southern kerbline of Cavendish Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 12 metres.
  • East side from its junction with the extended southern kerbline of Cavendish Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 12 metres.

No waiting Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on:

Cavendish Road

  • South side from a point 61.5 metres north east of the extended north eastern kerbline junction with Bury New Road for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

No stopping outside entrance to St Phillips RC Primary School on:

Cavendish Road

  • North side from a point 61.5 metres east of the extended north eastern kerbline junction with Bury New Road for a distance of 31.56 metres in an easterly direction.

Existing orders are to be amended so as to be consistent with proposals.

A copy of the proposed order, a plan of the area and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at
Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Rd, Swinton, M27 5DA, 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
